Oorzaak
Staphylococcus bacterie op hondhuid. Bij krabbelen/irritatie → infectie → korstige ronde cirkels (lijkt op ringworm).
Identificatie
- Ringworm schimmel EN staf bacterie → beide: gehuchte huiduitslag/cirkels
- Huidcultuur/biopsie → laboratorium identificeert staf als oorzaak (geen ringworm)
Oplossing
- Orale antibiotica: staf in lichaam controleren
- Gemediceerde shampoos: huidstafinfectie behandelen
Let op
Volgens dierenarts Carlo Vitale: stafinfecties = #1 terugkerend dermatologieprobleem. Beheerst, maar keert terug met ringworm-achtige uitslag.
